How to Measure Your Kitchen

A few notes on how to determine the width, depth and height of your space.

Space Allowance

Most of our kitchens are designed for open plan living. Island benches need allowance for circulation space in front. Please take this into consideration when measuring the depth of your space.

Window Openings

Take note of your window openings as this may affect the Design Kit you choose the buy. Each of our Design Kits follow a shape (Straight, U-Shaped, L-Shaped and Island). Some shapes will work better for your space than others.

Room Heights

Our kitchens are documented with a 2700mm high ceiling. You can change this to a minimum of 2400mm to suit your space. We’ve noted this on each of our builder’s pack drawings so your cabinetmaker can adjust the heights of your cabinets as needed.

Example 1

Depth: 2800 mm + at least 1500 mm circulation beyond island.

Width: 5480 mm

Example 2

Depth: 2800 mm + at least 1500 mm circulation beyond island.

Width: 5500 mm

Example 3

Depth: 2975mm + at least 1500mm circulation beyond island.

Width: 4350 mm
